Aerojet Rocketdyne Associate Analyst, Production Planning/Scheduling in Camden, Arkansas

Overview

Aerojet Rocketdyne has an immediate opening for an Associate Production Planning/Scheduler to join our growing facility in Camden, Arkansas . In this role, you will work under close supervision and following established policies and procedures to support program production teams comprised of manufacturing engineers, quality engineers, buyers, subcontract administrators, operations, and other necessary support personnel to produce qulaity tactical rocket motors on-time and on-budget.

Candidates must be willing and available to work other shifts or overtime as needed to meet production schedules.

This current opening may be filled at this level as posted or at one level higher.

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)

40% - Under close supervision, plans components to support manufacturing schedule and maintain MMAS compliance. Uses internal ERP system (Oracle) to maintain program schedules.

20% - Tracks both raw materials and finish parts through assembly and shop areas and final shipments to customer. If schedule is impacted, works with the team to develop a plan to get back on track.

20% - Identifies and communicates concerns and issues with potential scheduling impacts. Works with the team to develop solutions to minimize the impact. Relays information to the team members and management.

10% - Monitors procurement activities to ensure conformance to established schedule.

10% - Performs other related assignments.

Requirements

This is an entry-level exempt position that requires a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

US Citizenship required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (U.S. Citizenship required). Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

Additional Requirements and Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of material and production control in a manufacturing environment.

  • Problem solving ability and written and verbal communication skills are essential.

  • Working knowledge using Microsoft Word and Excel is a plus.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit and to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 15 pounds; may require minimal walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
