We are seeking a Senior Business Operations Analyst to join our team in Canoga Park, CA . The Senior Analyst will study data and prepare earned value and financial reports for internal and external customers and management to support major government programs.
This current opening may be filled at this level as posted or at one level higher.
Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)
Working under limited general direction:
90% - Performs budget baseline management which includes conducting Cost/Schedule variance analysis and regular interaction with internal and external customers concerning all aspects of cost/schedule control.
5% - Assists in audits, negotiations, and special reports/inquiries regarding pertinent financial procedures, techniques and projections.
5% - Evaluates internal processes with the objective of process improvement and customer satisfaction.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics or related field with six (6) plus years of applicable experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
US Citizenship required. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
Additional Requirements and Preferred Qualifications:
Must have excellent analytical skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation abilities.
Capable of working independently as well as working in a team.
Independent, self-motivated individual with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of the Microsoft suite of tools – Excel, Office, PowerPoint, etc.
Experience in a cost and scheduling environment with proven knowledge of all aspects of earned value management including planning, scheduling & cost processes.
Experience interfacing with NASA a plus.
Minimal travel may be required.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit and to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 15 pounds; may require minimal walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
