We are seeking a Senior Supply Chain Analyst for our Canoga Park, CA location.

This position directly supports the Supply Chain and Material Management (SC/MM) Affordability and Enterprise Metrics team and multiple AR sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the following activities are developed and executed for SC/MM and the enterprise in support our business objectives and affordability goals.

This position may be filled at this level or one level higher.

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)

This is an enterprise SC/MM centric position working with leadership across multiple sites. Successful candidate will interpret policy and support processes that directly impact operational execution used in SC/MM, Finance and Business Units (BU). This position reports directly to the SC/MM Director of Affordability and Enterprise Business Metrics. Under limited general direction:

25% - Develop, analyze and define solution sets for complex SC/MM financials including; annual budgeting, financials, staffing, direct base and Estimate at Completions (EAC). Requires in depth skills in demand based forecasting, overhead analysis and projection forecasting based on historical and year over year efficiency gains. Individual is required to work across multiple sites with SC/MM and Business Unit leadership in the successful attainment of AR financial requirements.

25% - Provide and implement Aerojet Rocketdyne Business Operating System (ARBOS) across the Supply Chain value stream including training, process implementation and lean tools utilization. Tools include; Market Feedback Analysis (MFA), Mistake Proofing, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Performance Scorecards, Enterprise Support Plans, Value Stream Mapping, Turnbacks, etc. Position requires individual to use, analyze performance data and offer solid solutions to drive operational excellence.

25% - Provide metrics and reports related to operational performance as directed by the Manager, SC/MM Enterprise Metrics and Reporting.

15% - Support the SC/MM People Development initiative. Focus is on skills retention and training for both Emerging Leaders (EL) and Business Professionals (BP). Individual will work with SC/MM leadership and Human Resources to ensure achievement of “fast pace” development programs. Tasks include; annual kickoff, EL mentorship development, one-on-one’s with Vice President of SC/MM, rotational program and definition and inception of the BP program.

10% - Support SC/MM affordability initiatives.


Requires a Bachelor's in Business Management/Administration, Economics, Finance or other Technical Degree and six (6) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidate must have significant experience in cost analysis and financial forecasting. Individual should have experience in implementing lean tools and the ability to use them to achieve improvements. Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred. This self-motivated individual should have solid knowledge of Supply Chain and Material Management processes and MRP/ERP systems expected (Oracle preferred). Excellent written and oral communication and project management skills required.

US Citizenship required. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

Travel Requirements: 30-35%.
