Aerojet Rocketdyne Intern, Engineering (Systems R&I – Engineering Intern) in Orlando, Florida
Aerojet Rocketdyne Coleman Aerospace in Orlando Florida, is seeking an Aerospace or Electrical Engineering student for a part-time internship role to support the Systems Requirements and Integration (R&I) Engineering team. This internship role does not have to be tied to a specific semester, and it is desired that it extend beyond a single semester.
At this location, AR Coleman Aerospace produces complex single, two, and three stage launch vehicles that are used to support Missile Defense Agency (MDA) ballistic missile defense testing. In this role, the candidate will work tasks supporting the composition and flow-down of program requirements and respective documentation.
Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)
25% - Support composition and flow-down of system requirements
25% - Support generation and maintenance of system specifications
25% - Support requirements verification activities
25% - Support program design milestones meetings
Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university
Currently earning a college/university degree in Aerospace or Electrical Engineering
Proficient in MS Office software suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance
General Knowledge of Aerospace Engineering and Systems Engineering processes
Comfortable using MATLAB/Simulink
Demonstrated strong communication (written and verbal) through coursework, extra-curricular activities, or professional environments
Experience handling multiple tasks with attention to detail in a fast paced environment
Proven ability to learn new tools
Proven knowledge and/or experience within the Aerospace industry
Active DoD Secret Clearance
Knowledge/experience with DOORs software tool
