Aerojet Rocketdyne is seeking a Senior Specialist, Program Pricing to join our Sacramento, CA location. The Specialist will report to the Director, Pricing and Estimating and Policy and Compliance – Contracts/P&E/Estimating Business System.

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)

100% - Provides direction exercising considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments:

  • Independent review of selected submitted proposal cost volumes. Review includes, but not limited to, adequacy and completeness consistency with Aerojet Rocketdyne policies and procedures, and conformance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), DOD and other agency Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplements (DFARS, NFS, etc.), and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).

  • Assistance and guidance as needed to Pricing and Estimating in preparing and submitting proposals and responding to fact finding questions.

  • Assistance as needed in responding to DCAA proposal and Estimating Business System audits and reports.

  • Other support and assistance related to the Estimating Business System.

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related discipline and at least 15 years of directly related experience (proposal estimating, proposal reviews, proposal negotiations - reflecting in-depth knowledge of submission of proposal cost volumes for U.S. Government contracts subject to certified cost or pricing data, preferably in an aerospace manufacturing environment).

Desired Qualifications:

  • Audit experience preferred.

  • Working knowledge of government regulations.

  • Working knowledge of FAR, particularly FAR parts 15 and 31, DFARS, and CAS, as well as financial accounting, cost accounting, forecasting and budgeting.

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.

US Citizenship required. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit or stand and maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 pounds; may require occasional walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
